About Me
Hi, my name is Roger Thompson, and I am a certified Professional Tutor of English on Preply, one of the world's top learning platforms. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2024 I was a professor of English at Kyung Hee University in South Korea, one of the QS top 40 universities in Asia. I am also a trained broadcaster/native speaker with a neutral North American accent, and I would like to tell you about what I offer. To start, I suppose my greatest accomplishment was completing my MA thesis and getting it published. It was widely considered a classic, and it became required reading in a class at MIT in 2005. And coming in a close second was winning a 24k gold medal for teaching at my Korean university in 2016 (see the photo below). My specialty is general English conversation for adults, and please check out the reviews I received from former students below.
I am now accepting new students, so if you are not logged in to Preply, please visit their website, sign up, then search for Roger T. from Canada. Another way, after logging in, would be to click the button below and you will see my profile. You can also reach me at PreplyTutor1@outlook.com. Thanks and have a great day!
